Verona is easy to get to, wheter you're in Italy or abroad. Its territory is also rich in
art, history, food and wine. It's easy to see why it has built solid business and friendship ties with other important cities in Europe and beyond.
The sister cities of Verona are seven, including two outside Europe:
Albany, New York, and
Nagahama in Japan. In Europe it is twinned to two cities in the german-speaking area, that is also its favourite end market: the lovely Mozart's hometown,
Salzburg, and the wonderful
Munich, a perfect business partner for Verona.
Nimes, in Provence, and
Pola, in Croatia, are linked to Verona because of their amphitheaters, that are the symbol of a shared, great, history. Last but not least, Verona is also twinned to the small bilingual town of
Saint-Josse-ten-Noode, just outside Brussels.
But there's more. Verona has also signed several other “
friendship pacts” with foreign cities. Among them you can find the European Kosice (Slovakia), Corfù (Greece), KorÇa (Albania) and Detmold (Germany), plus Bethlehem (Palestin), Raaanana (Israel), Fresno (USA), Ningbo (China) and Ayacuccio Huamanga (Peru).
One more time, Verona has proved itself as an internationally oriented territory, with fruitful business and friendship ties all over the world. The twinning anniversaries and their related events are the chance to have fun and get in touch with other cultures, in order to share experience and knowledge. This is another reason why
Verona's territory is truly unique.
