Maria Belisario Foundation, in collaboration with Intesa San Paolo Group, established this year the "Women Value Company 2017" award, within which triumphed a company from Verona, Pegaso srl, managed by Cristina and Paola Tosi, a business reality that has been working for over 25 years in the production of dietary supplements of natural origin.
This prestigious award, included in the XXIX edition of Marisa Bellisario Prize "High Altitude Women", turns at small and medium-sized public and private enterprises, mainly Italian and non-group companies, which have had good economic performance and have distinguished themselves in the application of policies for development women's work and gender diversity, by providing employees with family-work reconciliation services, flexible working time policies, non-discriminatory remuneration policies and development plans for the enhancement of female skills and careers.
The award of which Pegaso and the other winner Vetrya of Orvieto were awarded on June 16 in Rome is the Golden Apple: the choice of the apple as a symbol of this award is representative of the female essence because the apple quince “cotogna”, not manipulated by man and never distorted with grafts and crosses is particularly suitable for represent women with strong personality.
For the founder of Pegasus, Bruno Tosi, the rigor of scientific research goes hand in hand with the implementation of internal policies for the company to develop the personal qualities of the collaborators; choices widely shared and pursued by his daughters Cristina and Paola who keep alive these values through concrete actions.
